Southern Mercantile, Inc. was
originally
the name of a small general store owned by my great-grandfather and
great-granduncle,
Herbert O'Neil and Leslie A. Jones in Salley, S.C. around 1914.
The name has flowed through our family over the
years, in and out of businesses,
from my sister's lemonade stand, to my father's booth of iron
sculpture,
and even to my grandmother's kitchen, but never did it land.
-- Until,...
Shortly
before graduating high school, my grandfather, Joe, and I decided it
was time to revive the family business spirit once and for all. Between
the two of us, we developed our vision into a small business
specializing in serving others .
Thus, Southern Mercantile was born (or
should I say, "re-born")!
Through your help and interest, we continue to grow.
