The Edisto
Observer is a division of Southern
Mercantile, Inc., a company that originated over 100 years ago here
along
the Edisto River. We are currently based in Orangeburg,
S.C.
However, the World Wide Web truly makes us global. Southern
Mercantile,
Inc. is a local, family-run business that began its trek into the
Internet
early in the game. We currently manage many websites that promote
the Edisto River, the people from and surrounding it, and the rich
heritage
